Itinerary

Arrive in Manchester, pick up your car and make your own way to your hotel. Begin your adventure by making use of the Visit Manchester Pass, giving you access to some of the city’s best attractions, museums, and experiences. Spend the evening at leisure and settle in to your hotel where you will spend two nights.

Continue exploring the city with the Visit Manchester Pass. You may choose to visit Manchester’s museums, cultural landmarks, or even take in a football-related experience. The pass allows you the flexibility to tailor the day to your interests.

Today drive to the historic city of Chester. Explore Chester’s well-preserved Roman walls, the famous Chester Rows shopping galleries, and perhaps enjoy a walk by the River Dee. The city’s cathedral is also worth a visit for its striking Gothic architecture. Stay overnight in Chester

After breakfast head into North Wales. Your journey includes admission to the beautiful Bodnant Gardens, followed by a visit to the imposing Conwy Castle, one of Edward I’s great fortresses. Continue on to Caernarfon where you will stay for two nights.

Spend the day exploring Snowdonia and its dramatic landscapes. Enjoy a round-trip heritage railway journey with Ffestiniog & Welsh Highland Railways, then continue to the enchanting Portmeirion Village, a uniquely designed Italianate village on the Welsh coast. Return to Caernarfon.

Depart North Wales and travel to Liverpool. On arrival, immerse yourself in the city’s musical history with admission to The Beatles Story, an interactive exhibition dedicated to the Fab Four. Spend the night in Liverpool.

Continue your journey north to the Lake District, one of England’s most picturesque regions. On arrival, enjoy a relaxing Windermere Cruise, offering beautiful views of the surrounding mountains and villages. You will spend the next two nights in Windermere.

Explore more of the Lake District at your own pace. Visit the atmospheric Muncaster Castle, steeped in history and surrounded by stunning gardens, and enjoy a tour of The Lakes Distillery, where you can sample locally produced spirits. Return to your hotel in Windermere.

Depart the Lake District and drive back towards Manchester, taking the scenic route through the Yorkshire Dales, with its rolling hills, stone villages, and dramatic scenery

Enjoy breakfast before checking out of your hotel and returning the rental car.
