Overlooking the southern side of Wilpena Pound, Rawnsley Park Station provides the perfect base for exploring South Australia's beautiful Flinders Ranges.
Departing from Rawnsley Park Station, take a late-afternoon helicopter flight past Rawnsley Bluff and over Wilpena Pound before landing on the Chace Range. Watch the sun set over spectacular views, whilst our staff set up your swag and camp for the night. You are then provided with a 2 course camp oven meal that you can finish preparing at your leisure. Sleep soundly under a star-filled Outback sky.
The next morning, wake to a stunning sunrise, then cook yourself a bush breakfast over the campfire with the provisions that have been left for you. After breakfast you will have a return flight back to the Station.
Spend your first night at Arkaroola in one of our comfortable accommodation options and enjoy a late check-out of 12 noon the next morning before embarking on a 4WD journey to the remote Streitberg Ridge campsite. This relaxed tour along the Ridgetop Track allows time to explore, to discuss the sciences and take in the scenery at its best.
Upon arrival at Streitberg Ridge, your campsite will be ready for you to unwind and soak up the breath-taking views of the outback landscape. As the sun sets, your host will prepare delicious canapes for you to enjoy, accompanied by local wine, as you watch the Ranges light up before your eyes.
Savour an unforgettable dinner prepared by your guide as you share stories around the campfire with fellow travellers or gaze through the binoculars or telescope at the stars above.
After a day filled with adventure, retire to the comfort of a swag on one of only four elevated sleepout decks. Drift off to sleep under the canopy of stars, and wake up to the soft morning light of the new day. You may choose to view sunrise from the renowned Siller's Lookout, before enjoying a cooked breakfast and your return trip to Arkaroola Village around midday, and your onward journey.
